Pacific Science Center
Astronomy Weekend In The High Desert
Aug. 14-16, 2009
During the day, we will learn about our sun and solar system, constellations and their mythology, and comets. Some of the hands-on activities may include creating your own starfinder and sun clock, building your own telescope, working with sun spotting paper, creating a comet, and deciphering a message from space! After dark, discover the night sky like you've never seen it before. We will also take two field trips to visit the nearby Goldendale Observatory and Maryhill Stonehenge.
Cost:
- $250 per adult
- $150 per child under 14
